About

Born and raised in Plano, Texas, Kelley Dorney has a natural love of cowboy boots and Dr Pepper.  She grew up watching Disney movies and listening to the oldies.    

Kelley has a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Emerson College.  She's worked on tour with Theatreworks/USA, sailed with Disney Cruise Lines, and performed in theatres from Los Angeles to New York to London. Since 2018, she has worked with J&O Creatives and taught summer masterclasses on Musical Theatre audition technique to students from 8 to 16 years old. Kelley is also now a virtual voice teacher as well as teaching an ongoing MT gym for young performers alongside her J&O teacher, Katy Jacoby.

Since 2015, she has worked as a casting assistant for Julia Flores Casting, helping cast shows at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts, Pasadena Playhouse, A Noise Within, Boston Court, Theatreworks, and Ensemble Theatre Company.  Kelley also works for the Imagination Machine, performing improv sketches of elementary students' stories to encourage them to write.
